I just really want to travel to another part of the world, though another part of the US would be fine too, and was wondering if I would be able to legally stay anywhere without my parents. I have a credit card.

I’m going to North Carolina in early April, and while I’m there I’m going to visit my best friend who lives in Charlotte, and we were going to drive to Myrtle Beach which is about 3 hours away from where she lives. We thought it would be cool if we could stay the night but I know most hotels here in Chicago only rent out hotel rooms to ages 21 and over. I’m 19, and she’s 18. We only wanted to stay one night, does anybody know the age requirement to rent a hotel room there?
